Rock Band Turns Japanese
Rock Band is hitting the Japanese market. Will they embrace the idea of tiny plastic instruments? June 2nd, 2008 (3:35pm) - Harmonix has announced that it will be partnering will publisher Q! Entertainment to bring Rock Band to Japan but not without some changes.
While the games release window has not been revealed, Harmonix disclosed that it will be working closely with the publisher to localize the game for Japan, featuring various Japanese musical acts and other changes to cater more to the audience overseas. A possible track listing or pricing of the toy guitar, drums and mic bundle has not been mentioned. Rock Bands popularity in both North America and Europe have led the pricey package to worldwide sales of approx. 3 million sold and Harmonix is looking to further expand the brands popularity with the Japanese release of this instrument-based rhythm game.
