Atlus exploring Digital Distribution
Atlus is asking their fans what they think about digital distribution...or maybe theyre going to start making games in the USA? June 13th, 2008 (12:27pm) - Atlus USA has mailed out a survey to their faithful audience in regards to if and what theyd be willing to pay for digital distribution of their titles. The survey also hopes to learn their thoughts on the issue.
The survey covered a broad range of topics including online play, the price of downloadable PS3 and Xbox360 games, and what factors into gamers purchases. The survey, which focused on the PS3 and 360, seemed to have a heavy tilt towards the fanbases opinion of downloadable games. Atlus Japan has not made a similar move which could possible mean that Atlus USA is exploring the digital distribution model on its own for established games or that it plans to release content via the medium which could mean independently developed titles.
