The first details on the DS installment of Fire Emblem have surfaced. June 14th, 2008 (2:16pm) - Fire Emblem has been an important part of Nintendos Japanese catalog, so it should come as no surprise that a DS version has finally been announced.
Fire Emblem DS will be coming out in Japan on August 7th. The game will be a remake of the original Fire Emblem, which came out on the Famicom (NES) in 1990. The game will finally bring the series online, as well. Online battles will be between two players, who both begin with five units picked from their single-player campaign. No US release date has been announced as of this writing. Reported by Anthony Swinnich on June 14th, 2008 (2:16pm) [From: IGN]
