Rock Band 2 Officially Announced
More plastic instruments for more fake band action? Count the world in!  June 30th, 2008 (2:30pm) - In an announcement that is sure to surprise no one, Harmonix confirmed that Rock Band 2 is coming this fall.
The publisher claims that they’ve listened to their fans and are making improvements to the problems people had with the original Rock Band, though nothing specific has been announced. The company has "now had the benefit of the last eight months to listen to our fans’ requests and to build upon that foundation," said Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos. They also said that the new instruments will be backward compatible with the previous game, and downloadable content from the first will work with the sequel.
