August 9^th, 2008 (8:29am) - Cheap Ass Gamer found a nice promotion yesterday: an Amazon-exclusive offer for a replica of the Lancer from Gears of War 2.

The price is pretty steep; you’ll have a $140 hole in your wallet after you shell out the dough for this. But -- if you pre-order this, you’ll get a free copy of Gears of War 2. Not only that, but you can also throw in an extra $10 to net yourself the Limited Edition of the game instead.

This promotion runs until 11:59 PST on November 7, or until supplies run out.

It’ll be interesting to see how many people decide to pick this up. I definitely want one -- that Lancer replica looks pretty badass (too bad wanting something and being able to afford it are different stories). It’s life-sized, so that’s an extra incentive to pick it up. Oh, and I just found out that if you press the trigger, you’ll activate a motorized "chainsaw" sound and the weapon will vibrate. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
