Microsoft Cuts Xbox Prices, Gives Finger to Sony

September 3rd, 2008 (9:42pm) - Friday Microsoft will be cutting prices on all versions of its Xbox system. The Xbox Elite, which comes with the 120GB hard drive will drop to $399, from $449. The Xbo Pro, sporting a 60GB hard drive, will drop to $299. And the lowly Xbox Arcade, the hard drive eunuch of the 360 family, will come in at $199, making it cheaper than the Nintendo Wii.

Despite the Arcade breaking the two hundred dollar price point Microsoft is gunning for Sony, and the number two console slot, as opposed to the long running market darling Nintendo Wii.
