GamersMark Recruiting New Writers

October 29th, 2008 (11:09pm) - GamersMark is looking for new writers -- will you answer the call?

We’re looking for motivated individuals to cover practically every current facet of today’s gaming industry. The following positions are open:

  • Reviewer (all current systems, including and especially downloadable games) - Reviewable copies of games a potential perk for writers

  • Previewer

  • News Reporter

  • Editorial Specialist

  • Content Editor

  • Database Operator
  • Requirements

  • Must be well-versed in the English language

  • Must have a vast knowledge of the video game industry (or willingness to learn)

  • Must be passionate about video games or events surrounding the video game industry

  • Must be living in the United States of America (exceptions can be made)
  • Application Information

  • Your Full Name

  • Your Age

  • Your Contact Information (e-mail address, instant messaging contacts)

  • The position you are applying for (or a description of what you would like to do)

  • Your reasons for applying

  • Records of prior writing experience (not required) – link references are a plus

  • A writing sample to give us an idea of your talents. Must be at least 500 words in length and preferred to be a game review, preview, or an editorial capacity article based on a video game-related topic of your choice. This will be your first writing piece to be featured on the web site, so choose something unique.
