Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is the first part of the popular series, which takes place in the future. Exactly 30 years in the future of our current time. And this is also the first (and I hope last) Castlevania where you don’t play as a character tied to the bloodline of the Belmont clan of Vampire Slayers. You play as Soma Cruz who is about to witness the fist solar eclipse of the 21st century when he suddenly passes out... only to awaken inside of a mysterious castle. Navigating through the castles complex maze of labyrinths, players must battle ferocious monsters at every turn in order to find an escape before evil consumes them. The Gameplay however is rather comparable with Metroid Fusion & almost any MegaMan title. Because in addition to collecting and wielding multiple weapons, Soma can also have the unique ability to use the souls of their enemies to gain over 100 powerful new attacks and skills. Using the GBA Link Cable, players can also exchange or trade enemy souls with their friends, further bolstering their characters strength against the evil forces lurking within the castle walls. Enhanced by a haunting musical score, stunning animated characters, gigantic monsters, astonishing special effects and breathtaking graphics, Aria of Sorrow will have players wishing for their garlic cloves and wooden crosses! Outlook… With the track record that the Castlevania series has on the Gameboy Advance. I’m gonna go all out and say I’ll bet my ass that this one is going to be great just like Circle of the Moon & Harmony of Dissonance were. Konami will release this baby on May 6th so with better sound then the other 2. And the Gameboy Advance SP already on the streets. I see no problem with this becoming the best Castlevania in the series… lets stay tuned. ~ditto~
