Atari adds to the success of the Dragon Ball Z franchise by introducing an all new role playing adventure game for the Game Boy Advance. Capitalizing on the success of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku, the best-selling role playing game for the Game Boy Advance in 2002*, Atari recently announced Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II. Slated to release in June 2003, Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II adds a thrilling new chapter that invites players to experience even more of the Dragon Ball Z® story. Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II allows fans to play as any one of five DBZ heroes, including Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan and Goku, as they journey from the Trunks Saga through the Cell Games. With more than 10 gigantic game maps to access and explore, Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II spans approximately one-third of the Dragon Ball Z story and allows players to train, fight and fulfill quests as they advance their way to battle the evil Cell. Players control Goku & Friends as they work their way through the quest, powering up his Melee and Ki combat abilities by defeating harmful enemies along the way. The games more along the lines of Legend of Zelda in this case, as all battles are action-based...not turned-based like most RPGs. The game features more than 75 characters to interact with in this huge adventure...with all types of side quest and extras.
The first Legacy of Goku game was ok to say the least. And the sequel is looking to improve on everything that was good in the first. Also fixing the plague of problems that caused the first to fall in its climb to greatness. Look for hand-on impressions after E3. And DBZ fans pray for DBZ handheld greatness come June 24, 2003. ~ditto~ |
