Based on the PC classic Starcraft games, Ghost is a console-only game that takes the franchises Real Time Strategy past and recreates the Starcraft world in a new light. Half Metroid Prime, half Metal Gear Solid, StarCraft: Ghost is a tactical action game that brings gamers down to a more personal level within the StarCraft universe. What happens when you take a RTS game and tear it down and rebuild it into a 3rd person action game? So far one helluva ride! In StarCraft: Ghost, players take the role of Nova, a lethal Ghost operative skillfully trained in the arts of espionage and tactical combat. Twenty years of ruthless physical conditioning and techno-psychological instruction have made Nova a being of terrifying potential. With the help of a determined group of allies, players follow a series of story-driven missions, engaging in a deadly mix of planetary battles and dangerous solo operations. To complete their mission objectives, players must execute intelligent tactical decisions while mastering an advanced arsenal of sophisticated weaponry. In addition to utilizing Novas special abilities to carry out covert operations, players can call in offsite support ranging from comsat sensor sweeps to all-out tactical nuclear strikes. As they advance through the game, players will have the ability to operate a number of vehicles, unique to the StarCraft universe, including Vulture hovercycles and Arclite siege tanks. Also, to aid them in combat, players can go into a zoomed-in sniper mode from anywhere in any level, using Novas modified C-20A canister rifle. As the story unravels, players find themselves traversing uncharted terrain and battling adversaries never before seen by followers of the series. Bold 3D graphics give players a new, in-depth perspective on familiar planets and former battlefields from the legendary universe. A dynamic 3rd-person camera view displays dramatic lighting, startling detail, and a blend of realistic and fantastical design.
Death from above…it’s a bird it’s a plane?Key Features - Revolutionary new style of gameplay featuring enhanced physical and psionic abilities - Hostile Environment Suit designed to magnify strength, agility, and speed - Over-the-top special effects offer stunning visuals and unparalleled tactical realism - Immersive 3D environments showcase rich textures and highly stylized character models - Unique Calldown abilities allow players to target large-scale attacks from the ground - A deeply evolving storyline set in Blizzards gritty sci-fi StarCraft universe Outlook… Fans of the PC Starcraft games just might curse Ghost to hell. A friend of mine a huge PC gamer even calls it “the death of the series.” But screw them to hell! Starcraft: Ghost is made to cater to me and 80+ million console gamers worldwide. And it’s doing a damn fine job. This November will surely be happy times when we all get our hands all over Nova’s hot bod. Everything in this game so far is looking sweet as Ice Cream. Even the early demos of the game had a huge amount of polish. I would have liked a playable guy hero (damn chic is taking over). But hell I’m still willing to rock the Starcraft world with Nova! ~ditto~
