If you’re a fan of the Warhammer 40,000 games.. or the Table-Top version from The Games Workshop, you’ll probably love the new addition by Relic Entertainment and THQ to the Warhammer series, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Dawn of War takes place on the planet Tartarus, where the Blood Ravens (a chapter of the Space Marines) are taking on a quickly growing threat, Orks. It soon appears that the ancient battle planet is much more mysterious than first assumed.. the Blood Ravens all of a sudden seem to fall into a complex storyline developing around the Forces of Chaos, the Orks and the Eldar. As soon as I started researching I realized how amazing it’s going to be. There are so many little things that will make this game more exciting and action-packed than I’d first assumed. One very cool feature is that each Group (Forces of Chaos, Eldar, Blood Ravens, etc) has their own sort of mech. It’s a unit bigger than normal ground units, and it can easily take on a squad of ground units. There’s an image uploaded showing a Space Marine mech-thing squashing an Ork in the screenshots.. the fact I can squish stuff makes me want to play the game even more. The basic foot-soldiers have long-range and short-range attacks.. whether it’s guns pounding away or swords clanging, it looks cool! The overall graphics of the game look amazing, they look identical to the actual Miniature Figures and you can see the detailed graphics at any angle, the zoom feature makes the action even more exciting. I believe that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War will be a huge hit! |
