Tony Tough 2 – A Rake’s Progress is an action/strategy game published by the German company dtp. Tony Tough 2 is about a sarcastic crime solver solving problems in an even more sarcastic environment. The original installation of this series, Tony Tough and the Night of Roasted Moths, was an enormous hit in Germany involving the crime solving snoop Tony and supporting top comedians for the voices and characterizations.

Now Tony is back, better than ever and even had a facial which took off a few years. In fact the facial was so amazing it made Tony look 13.

Tony’s new adventure is set in his childhood, allowing the player to discover the origins of this gum-shoe. Set in a 1953 New Mexico, Tony uncovers a mysterious thief, ancient Indian cultures, UFOs, an interesting abduction. The player even explores his fancy in wigs and purple dogs (yes this is a comedy too).

As Tony traverses the map of 30 stunningly rendered locations he is interacting totally with his environment. Gone are the days where when an item was picked up it ’mysteriously’ disappeared into the body of the character. Each time Tony takes something he opens his bag and places it in with individual finger movements, not just block hands. Of course, it goes with out saying that Tony Tough 2 supports real-time changes in the weather and varied responses for ever-changing and endlessly funny conversations.
