It looks like Westwood Studios has dropped another psycho cool real time strategy game on the pc world. Red Alert is very similar to Tiberian Sun. Some things have been changed but not much. The overall presentation of the game feels a lot better, the graphics are tweaked a bit, and in the building icon there are a few changes. This game actually had some history behind it unlike Tiberian Sun. The time warp or whatever they used to bring back Albert Einstein was a cool twist to the plot, as well as the addition of that character Yuri. The game offers more different units then Tiberian Sun but fewer structures. This game had a good balance of game play, story and movies. The Tanya missions were tricky but they were quite fun.

What I thought was one of the best parts was the online support, I know most games do have online support but, I thought this games easy ways to get intro games and chat with other people was very cool. Just like Tiberian Sun my friends and I play this game to death over the Internet.

This game is really fun to play and to watch. Another really fun part was world domination first you would choose your side (allied or soviets) then pick the place you wanted to fight at, places all over the U.S.A. then you would find out if there was a match and if there was you would play them in an online game. Win, lose or draw you have a choice of adding that person to your buddy list juts in case you want to challenge him/her again sometime. My favorite part about this game that I think really separates it from Tiberian Sun is the fact that whatever country you choose you have a special unit for that country. Like most real time strategies you the side you choose will have different units than the other side (Red Alert 2 also does this) but it also has different units for the country you choose, I found that really cool.

I really like this game, but I am a fan of real time strategy games so I would recommend this to other RTS fans but to the average gamer I don’t know but they might like it.
