You reload your double barreled shotgun in the gloom of the temple. You look ahead and see a faint light coming towards you. All within those three seconds, you are surrounded by beheaded soldiers and skeleton demons. You fire round after round and soon disperse of you shotgun. You are left with a combat knife to defend yourself…Those elements wont be easy to find with low ammo. In the small intro, you can see, that this fast paced game keeps you on your toes at all times, enemies burst out of every where, armor wears down quickly, and your health deterioates even faster if you dont keep moving. The monsters are creative and you also get a quick back ground on the demons you meet throughout your adventure. The weapons are also good. I mean most games have the pistol and shotgun, but the laser gun, and cannon launcher is original. The game effects are also good, The details are well worked, and it is a smooth environment to play within. On the downside, it gets to be boring the fact that you are mostly in a temple. Your not always in a temple but usually you are roaming within a temple or crypt, but even then, the game stays enteresting and gets more challenging per level. The fighting tactics for certain monsters are good too. You have to dodge certain charges, or jump over certain creatures, or shoot ammuntion in midair. The puzzles that are to be solved keep the game interesting too. If you dont flip certain switches, then a wall of spikes fall on you etc… Over all, the game is good, graphics, monsters, weapons, and problem solving. The sound effects are left to be desired, but they pass the test. I recommend this game to people who like challenges, and who like to see blood spatter all over the walls(hehe…)
