Presentation
Sega is on a roll! Hot on the heels of the runaway success of the original Super Monkey Ball, the ultimate party game is back. Jam-packed with 12 addictive Party Games, a new story mode and more than 150 stages, Super Monkey Ball 2 delivers the ultimate in addictive multiplayer action.

Graphics
The graphics are still as simple as the first game but are exactly what they need to be. The player definitely benefits from the ability to see the entire course at a glance. The backrounds are much better and with more color. The game practicly leaps off your TV screen and into your living room!!!

Sound
It’s still got the odd Sega music which has never really been to my liking but fits the game perfectly. The new monkey voices are absolutely bizzare. The story mode is strange and gets a laugh from every time. Don’t forget, the magic words are mei-mei-poo! The sound is fine. Monkeys make dumb silly noises. There is some real silly dialogue here. But hey you are playing with MONKEY BALLS!!! What do you expect?!

Gameplay
Once again the game revels in its simplistic controls: use the control stick to get the ball through the goal. Many modern games get too caught up in using every button on the controller, not this one. The challenges are tough but you always have the feeling that maybe the next attempt will be the one that gets the goal. Each multiplayer game is also set up so that one can easily pick it up and play. They’ve also improved upon several of the excellent mini games from the first game. Great game, alot of challenge in the core gameplay... and the mini-games are a great escape once you get frustrated with the main game. The mini-games are also a driving force behind your need to beat the main game since beating levels in the main game "unlocks" mini-games ... it is a good motivator when the game gets frustrating. My only real complaints is the story line (pointless and should be removed) and forced "reply" of good shoots in the bowling mini-game.

Stages are bigger and badder.

Conclusion
Once again Sega delivers a great party game for your Nintendo GameCube. But when will the party console of choice. Get Super Smash Monkey Balls: Melee?? Ah I guess we will have to wait a while for that one. But I hope it gives a solid gaming experince as SMB & SMB2 did.

~ditto~
