This is not a revolutionary or innovative game in any sense of the words. It is basically what the title implies and pretty much nothing more. It should be respected as the lone music creation game(aside from Frequencys remix feature) for the Playstation 2, and shouldnt be hailed for being much more. Presentation: This game has a decent presentation. Its sets up each screen in a different music recording or mixing setting. But really, what more or less would you expect? The presentation is no better or worse than the original Generator for the Playstation.
Graphics: Graphics is one of the areas that I think is incredibly weak in this game. Not that this game has any storyline that needs a breath-taking cinematic clip, but I would expect it to look just a little crisper. The graphics are up to and maybe a little past the graphics par of a Nintendo 64 game.
Sound: Where theres music theres sound. The sound isnt anything amazing, but its not a poor feature of the game. Im so bored with this game that I just cant write about it, and the sound doesnt exactly inspire me to write an epic.
Gameplay: The gameplay is so simple its almost not even worth talking about. Im just going to tell you this much, you make music, you can make music videos, and you can make your own sounds provided you have the equipment from Code Masters. There is a lot more you can do with this game than the original. I honestly bought this game because it was $8 at Wal-Mart, so this is about all I expected to come from it.
Conclusion: Its not that its a terrible game, its just that I think its incredibly boring. For any of you out there that are musically talented and dream of being a famous electronic artist, this game is great. Otherwise if youre like me and youre looking for entertaining video games, just leave this one alone. Its nothing more than a machine to make simple ditties. Good luck cranking any fun out of it.
