First the neon-green, then the "i" playing off of Metal Gear’s exclamation mark... Konami’s recent teaser (http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/mgst/?ref=kjp_jp) had everyone abuzz, but most people were thinking the message was hinting at either the X360 or the DSi. For all of those keen objectionists out there on the forum boards of the world who insisted it would be neither, congratulations -- you’ve won the N.E.R.D. award (for Never Eliminating Random Doubt).

-- Of course that’s what it means! We wouldn’t make fun of you at GamersMark! -- Oh you say you KNEW it was going to be the iPod and the iPhone? Shyeah! Right!

That’s right. Konami has announced a total of four new titles to be offered through download to Apple’s tiny wonders:

- Metal Gear Solid Touch

What Konami’s site coins as a "Touch-Shooting" experience, MGST will feature a streamlined sort of retelling of the events and characters in Metal Gear Solid 4. The initial download will contain eight stages, with more to be added in future updates. Extra content is unlockable through clearing stages.

- Silent Hill: The Escape

A 3D shooting game utilizing the iPod/iPhone touch-and-slide capabilities for movement, and axis-sensitivity for aiming.

- Frogger

The arcade classic gets a face-lift as well as touch-screen controls.

- DanceDanceRevolution S Lite

The mac-daddy music game now busts moves with the tap of your finger.

All four games are currently slated for release late December.

Stay tuned to GamersMark for more details as they come.
